Meet Abby

Abby Sidery is a mother of two young children, Registered Midwife, Registered Nurse and Certified Doula. Having grown up as the daughter of a home birth midwife, birth has always been a passion and never something to be feared.

She has worked in various roles, across multiple settings including Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney’s East and Northern Beaches Hospital, as well as supporting Sheryl Sidery as a second midwife at home births.

Currently working at Northern Beaches Hospital in their MAPS program. Abby has an innate ability to deliver evidence based information in a warm, light hearted way.

Birth Circle Facilitator

Meet Abby

I’m Abby — midwife, mother of two, and now leading Birth Circle, a space originally created by my mum.

Raised alongside her work as a homebirth midwife, I grew up witnessing birth as something instinctive, powerful, and deeply human — not something to be feared.

With over 10 years’ experience across hospital and community care, I now support families through pregnancy and early parenting with education that goes far beyond the basics.

Because feeling prepared for birth isn’t about knowing everything —
it’s about feeling calm, confident, and supported.
